Taking the Top Hacker in the US to New Heights: XBOW Raises $75M Series B

XBOW has reached a critical milestone: our AI now rivals and surpasses top-tier human hackers. Earlier this year, XBOW became the #1 hacker in the United States on HackerOne, the leading platform for coordinated vulnerability disclosure, outperforming every human participant. It’s the first time an autonomous system has done so.

For our team, this achievement is personal. Many of us have worked at the highest levels of offensive security, and we’ve long known that scaling our craft requires more than human effort. As attackers adopt AI to automate and accelerate exploitation, defenders must meet them with even more capable systems.

Leading security teams now rely on XBOW to continuously test their entire application portfolio. Instead of one-off pentests targeting a few critical systems, XBOW automatically runs expert-level attacks across all environments, in sync with development.

We are deeply grateful to our early design partners, at major financial institutions and at cutting-edge technology firms, for working with us to perfect the technology.

To support this momentum, we’re pleased to announce that XBOW has raised a $75M Series B, led by Apoorv Agrawal of Altimeter. Our previous investors, Sequoia Capital (lead on Seed and co-lead Series A) and Nat Friedman (co-lead on Series A), are joining again with full participation. This brings our total amount of funding to $117M.

The new funding will accelerate our go-to-market efforts and deepen our engineering capabilities. The mission is clear: to secure the world’s software in an era of AI-powered offense.

XBOW is now generally available. Contact us to , and see for yourself the superpowers it gives to your security team.
